Kajan Amir Raouf is a UAE based designer of Kurdish-Iraqi origins, who grew up in Morocco and the UAE. She graduated from high school in Dubai, and from there she embarked on her journey to becoming the designer and gemologist she is today. She started her professional education in Canada with a Bachelors of Business Administration from Trent University. After graduating in 2003 with high honors, she moved to Italy to pursue her lifelong passion for Jewelry. Kajan obtained her jewelry design certifications from Le Arti Orafe in Florence, which prides itself in being one of the oldest and most prestigious jewelry schools in Europe. As a fresh graduate of business and design, in 2005 she took a job as a designer for a UAE jewelry company. In 2007, she went on to pursue a graduate gemology degree from the Gemological Institute of America in London, England, where she graduated at the top of her class, with a new found love for natural stones. |
